Flying Giant has firmly established themselves as a magnet for metal fans on the Mid North Coast. With a sold-out headline show and a knack for filling venues, Flying Giant is a proven drawcard.
Their impressive resume includes supporting renowned acts such as Closure in Moscow, Twelve Foot Ninja, and Calling All Cars, as well as sharing the stage with bands like Astro Death and From Crisis to Collapse. The band has also made notable appearances at festivals like Wallapalooza and Hell on High Water.

Their popularity is reflected in consistent radio play, and a standout performance at the Vans Warped Tour. Recently, they were featured in Coffs Coast Focus Mag in anticipation of their upcoming release. This was recently reinforced by winning the 2024 UNCOVERED band competition at The Hoey Moey, Coffs Harbour.
Following their debut EP, Flying Giant has continued to release new music throughout 2023 and 2024. Partnering again with the talented producer Tyson Fish, known for his work with Mammal, Vance Joy, and The Khyber Belt, the band has focused on perfecting their sound with each release. Recorded at The Grove Studios and The Alamo, their latest tracks showcase an exciting evolution and maturity in their music.
Flying Giant’s sound is dynamic and diverse, exploring the realms of rock, grunge, and metal to create an immersive experience with unique arrangements. Their music is both hard-hitting and nuanced, featuring soaring vocals, intricately layered guitars, and mind-bending time signatures delivered by a powerful rhythm section. With over 13 years of honing their craft, Flying Giant released their well-received debut EP in 2014, transforming the Hoey Moey into a packed stadium experience. This year promises several new single releases accompanied by music videos and live tours, building anticipation for a future full-length album.
